Joure and Dom were definitely the most relaxed bridal couple I have ever met. They had the most lovely wedding celebration at Joure's family home in Somerset West, a simple beautiful wedding with close friends and family. In my mind this is how weddings should be - focussed on family and friends and a lifetime together rather than just the 'big day'. It was such a privilege to be a part of this intimate celebration and by the end of the evening even I felt like I was part of this wonderful family. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the wedding.Read More
I have known Fred and Kate for a number of years - we were all at university together - and so I was delighted when they asked me to photograph their wedding. The wedding was on Kate's beautiful family farm, on the polo field to be precise. The wedding was full of wonderful personal touches - Kate's whole family had helped with the cake, her lovely dress was made from scratch by her amazing mum, and her Dad had created personalized wine for the wedding day. Horses, vineyards, mountain views, a bevy of lovely bridesmaids and a beautiful, madly-in-love couple all made for the most magical day despite the howling wind, and at the end of the evening everybody partied hard in true Rhodes style.Read More
Koos and Mandy got married on the beautiful Lalibela Game Reserve last weekend. It was a small, intimate wedding with a few guests but no shortage of fun and laughter. I think everyone was far more interested in game viewing than having their photos taken! Congratulations to you both and I hope there are many more happy years to come together. [gallery columns="1"]
Louella and Anthony got married in a beautiful forest on the Eastern Cape coast and although the heavens threatened to open a number of times, the wedding was a fantastic, relaxed event full of love and fun. It was wonderful to be photographing such a happy couple in such a beautiful venue.
Congratulations to the Shorts! Thank you for asking us to photograph this lovely wedding. It was held at a venue outside of Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape. From Dez's beautiful dress with the lace details and capped sleeves, to the table settings and the flowers, the attention to detail was amazing. Unfortunately, the one thing Dez couldn't organise was the weather and the heavens opened just before the ceremony which was moved indoors. Despite this, it was a beautiful day and a privilege to be a part of it all. Here is a small selection of the photos. [gallery columns="1"]
It was a privilege, and a lot of work, to be a part of Bennie and Sandy's beautiful wedding. When they got engaged I photographed them on mountain drive and I have added some of these pictures too. These two would never settle for a normal wedding of course and chose a remote spot in the beautiful Stutterheim to hold their beautiful ceremony. Below are a few of the photos...
