This special couple go way back for me. Ash and I used to live together, I remember the days when she and Craig started dating, and of course their beautiful wedding three years ago. And so when I happened to be in Cape Town for the weekend and she phoned me up and asked if there was any way I could do an anniversary preggie shoot with them - I was only too happy. It was lovely to catch up with them and see them thriving and about to be a family of three.Read More
I met Ina while working on a brand story and we hit it off. Ina is a model who lives in Germany but spends South Africa's summer living in Cape Town. She is a complete natural in front of the camera and I learnt so much from shooting with her. Afromontane is another exciting collaboration with the fantastic brand specialists, Boris Henry. Sandra is the mastermind and creator behind this line of gorgeous winter jackets. Not only are they stylish and warm, my favourite part about them is that they are made out of ethically sourced materials.
Sandra and I sat down and brain stormed that stories that we wanted to tell through the photos. The stories of a chilly early morning walk on the beach, or exploring the beautiful Cape mountains, or walking home from work on a cold afternoon. Although this shoot was a lot more fashion orientated than I usually shoot, the aim was to tell life like stories which appeal to real people. Have a look and see what you think.Read More
